An exciting day in the mountains

Dear friends

The pictures today speak for themselves so I need say little! First we went on a very exciting and very wet river walk. Then we had lunch outside, we made laminated cards for our hosts and we had a great visit to a museum about wildlife, volcanoes, geology etc ... Anna and I loved it and the students liked it too! It was a great day and we thoroughly enjoyed it. No one is homesick and some would like to say even longer! I hope to add another blog tomorrow after the Sayonara (Farewell) party but I don`t think I can manage anything while in Tokyo. Many of today`s pictures were taken by Anna because I was in the river! I will do a large blog about the last 2 days when we get home.

  1. Oh wow. When Cael visited, the photographs of the river area looked amazing but your photographs make it look even more fantastic, how absolutely breathtaking. It is great to see all the student having such fun together. I am so glad that the rain came over night and didn't stop you going.
I look forward to hearing more about the museum as that wasn't visited by the last group.
I really will have to start saving, I just have to visit Japan myself one day: your excellent daily reports have left me very envious; thank you so much David.
Have a great Sayonara party I hope there are not too many tears. Please thank all the hosts on behalf of us very grateful parents that appreciate the time and energy put into giving our children an experience of a life time.
    Take care

  2. Thank you Claire. I will certainly pass on your comments as reflecting the feeling of parents at home in my small speech tonight at the sayonara party. Anna and I feel so privileged to have been with the group this year.

    Best wishes
